Vegetarian Pasta and Quinoa Bowl

We didn’t forget about you veggies when creating our new pasta dishes- although we think that this pasta dish is equally as tasty as our Italian Chicken Pasta and Quinoa. It also weighs 420g and is packed full of delicious superfoods (what else would you expect from Bite Club?). Below are each and every ingredient as well as the numerous benefits each superfood provides our body with.

 

Organic Wholemeal Fusilli Pasta
This pasta is high in B vitamins and minerals, such as copper. The benefits of consuming foods which contain copper is that it helps our blood and nervous system and also maintains healthy bones. The natural benefits such as iron and B vitamins in wholemeal pasta mean that it beats its more processed counterparts every time in a nutritional race. It is a complete protein, as it contains amino acids, meaning that is a perfect choice for vegans/vegetarians who may not always reach their recommended protein intake. Quinoa is a fab source of manganese, which helps control our blood sugar levels and supports our bone health by preventing osteoporosis.

Chia Seeds
These little seeds are our foodie friends, and with the presence of minerals such as Magnesium, they’re a seed you definitely want to introduce your body too. Magnesium helps your muscles to relax as well as keeping your nervous system and heart healthy. These are a great option for vegetarians because of their protein content, which vegetarians often lack in their diets. Chia seeds are a plant protein and provide all the essential amino acids needed. They are rich in Vitamin D (maintains a strong skeletal, immune and nervous system), Vitamin B (contains eight nutrients which convert our food into energy, which keeps us energized throughout the day), and Vitamin E (an antioxidant which protects your body against free radical damage).

Flax Seeds
